FCI: summary from FCI agility commission (czech). The next meetings are on october 14 in Mazlow (Johannesburg, Southafrica) and on january 30-31. Some resolutions:
♦ WORLD CUP: transparent tunnels won't be used and there will be only 2 (one of them can have 3 m). the deadlines are july 31 and august 15. The document contains a map from the venue. The organizers negotiated a discount of 50% on dog's tickets by southafrican airlines from frankfurt and 750 euros for handler's tickets; planes will be able to take 11- 13 dogs as an exception. russia, brazil, chile, argentina (that was the only southamerican country not figuring in the original list) and croatia have a quarantine but there is a chance the government makes an exception for the world cup. There is a suggestion to nominate two extra dogs per category because of the extra difficulties with veterinarian requirements for entering to southafrica. For the blood test, the sample can be sent to southafrica where it may be cheapper. Registrations will cost 90 euros and for the following world cups the registration can't cost more than 85 euros; the payments are with american express, mastercard and pay pal. Program- thursday 10: 7 hs veterinary check and training, 17 hs teamleader meeting. Friday 11: 7:30 jumping team (large, medium, small), agility team large. saturday 12: jumping individual (small, medium, large), agility team (small, medium). sunday 13: agility individual (small, medium, large).
♦ two seminar for international judges will be organized on february 1-2 2014 in luxembourg and on november 19-20 2016.
♦ Next FCI WC: 2014- luxembourg (11-14 september), 2015- italy, 2016- belgium (unless they allow to do it in mid-august), 2019- brazil.
♦ since 2013 the EO will last 3 days. Team competitions are on friday, individual on saturday, and the finals (both team and individual) on sunday They explain more about qualification rules. The EO 2014 will be held in Debrecen (hungary) on july 25-27.
♦ EO junior 2014 in italia, 2015 in rep. checa. The webpage for 2013 is on line (click); the obstacles will be smart 99 and the trial will be at an open place (if the weather doesn't allow to, it will be indoor venue with artificial grass). Registrations close on may 15.
♦ agility commission prepares antidoping rules.
♦ bernd hüppe (austria) will present a draft with specifications for the obstacles on august 1; the final version will be approved at the meeting in Southafrica.
♦ it is ratified that the first mesure of a dog in WC is the one that determines in which category the dog should compete for the following world cups.
